The Annual Kennedy Township Community Days will be held on August 14- August 17 2013 at Fairhaven Park. Just as in years past, there will be rides, games, food booths, and many local businesses promotional booths. The Fire Departments parade will be held on SATURDAY AUGUST 17 at 7pm Sharp at the Kennedy Police station on Forest Grove Road. Line up will be at 6pm, starting at 7pm at the sound of the fire siren. All are invited. Many trophies for fire/ems services will be given away. THIS YEAR A SPECIAL GROUP WILL BE JOINING US IN THE PARADE!! The Steel City Angels will be coming to our parade and performing throughout the parade route. - Congratulations to Matt Marko on receiving his EMT-B! Matt has worked hard in training for his certification all spring, and is now a provider for the state, as well as our QRS Congrats Matty!
- Congratulations to our high school grads: Alex Plutto, Dom Santucci, Braidy Schmidt, Jason Walsh, Jeff Bowser. Alex has graduated from Bishop Canevan High, whereas the rest have all graduated from Montour High. Congrats guys and good luck in the future!
- Congratulations to Corey Lubas on receiving his Associates Degree in Fire Science and Fire Administration. Corey has gone to college for roughly 4 years to better himself as well as taking an intrest in the fire service. Corey has also gone and done extra work and outside classes and drills to assist in this degree. Congrats Corey!
- Congratulations to Alex Plutto, Mike Hand, Corey Lubas, and Dom Santucci on receiving their Pro-Board Firefighter 1 Certification. The four have gone to the Allegheny County Fire Academy in early June to challenge test. The four have received their certification and are nationally registered Firefighters.
